CUSTANCE, Gerardo

Sifted reality, renewing the romantic vision of the landscape, is the goal of Gerardo Custance, whose photographs include compositions where the light emerges from several simultaneous points of view to embrace a deep and delicate harmony. In 2006, he received the MUSAC Artistic Creation Fellowship; in 2007, he won the Purification García Photography Prize; in 2008, the Plastic Arts Fellowship of Fundación Botín; in 2009, the Artistic Creation Prize of the Autonomous Community of Madrid and in 2010 and 2011, the grant for the Promotion of Contemporary Art of the Ministry of Culture and the Photography Fellowship of Colegio de España in Paris.
