Estudillo Pérez, Ignacio

With a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the University of Seville, Ignacio Estudillo, who lives in Palermo (Italy), has earned major awards such as second prize from the BP Award granted by the National Portrait Gallery of London, the SICUE/Seneca grant from the University of the Basque Country and the Mario Antolín Grant awarded by BMW. His capacity for introspection and his ease executing unique portraits are the most famous facets of his career, which he alternates with classical statuary, landscapes and still lifes, generating fragmentary universes and exploring other ways of looking based on respect for the painting process and art history. He has participated in collective experiences like Made in Spain at the Contemporary Art Centre of Málaga and the Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice, among other venues.
