This photograph is from the series called Hotel Earle and was acquired by the FMCMP Art Collection at the stand of the A Coruña Moret Art gallery at the ArtMadrid fair 2015. Gomez-Chao exploits the possibilities of the camera to transmute nature into artifice, creating in his studio a new artificial stage that gives birth to the definitive work through the exploration of meanings and signifiers (often suggested in the titles), calling for an active attitude from the public to invent scenes more or less tangled between lucid and playful, the result of an author who is a steadfast enemy of his own or others’ boredom.
