CHRISTMAS WORKSHOP FOR FAMILIES
BAROQUE ANGELS:
IMMERSE YOURSELF IN THE TRADITION AND EXPERIMENT WITH URBAN ART

STREET ART SPACE. FMCMP MADRID CENTRE
21 AND 28 DECEMBER, 2024

For the festive season this year, the Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson is organising a workshop for families consisting of an interactive tour and a creative activity in the workshop inspired by urban art.

The activity begins with an interactive tour of the Street Art Space and our Christmas exhibition, where participants will see a Spanish Baroque painting from the seventeenth century: The Holy Family with Archangels, by Domingo Martínez.

Focusing on this work, the children will learn about the Baroque period with its associated symbolisms and will make a Christmas card blending the Baroque style with the freedom of contemporary urban art. The participants will produce their own creations using techniques such as collage, reinterpreting a traditional theme from a modern and participatory perspective.
